Contents In order to utilize within a renewed “Grand Design of National Spatial Development,” the future population for individual 1km square meshes up to the year 2050 was calculated based on the information obtained in the FY2010 National Census, etc.

Original data “2010 Population Census” by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Statistics Bureau, estimates from “Population Projections for Japan” by IPSS (National Institute of Population and Social Security Research) generated in Jan. 2012, estimates/hypothetical projections (Survival rate, ratio of children per woman, net migration rate), etc. from “Regional Population Projections for Japan” generated in Mar. 2013.
